CicloSDias San DiegoThe San Diego County Bike Coalition is inviting everyone to the CicloSDias event happening on August 11, 2013 from 1:00 in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon at the Cherokee Point Elementary School in City Heights.

This is an open street and car-free celebration that seeks to explore various alternatives to driving a car such as biking, jogging, skateboarding, rollerblading, hand-cycling, and walking. CicloSDias is patterned after similar events held all over the world including New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. It is all about connecting communities and giving people a break from the stress of car traffic and bringing families outside of their homes to enjoy car-free streets.

The event is sponsored by the San Diego Chargers, Kaiser Permanente, California Endowment, Sempra Utilities, Local 230, Car2Go, Rural Metro, and NMA. It is brought to the public in part by the City of San Diego, Active Living Research, Urban Green, Bike SD, BID Council, Great Streets of San Diego, ACE Parking, and many more.
