Bowling for Rhinos is a fundraising effort organized by the San Diego Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers. All of the proceeds from this event will go to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in support of the initiative of conserving rhinoceroses.
Participants can expect to see and enjoy special drawings and live entertainment as well as participate in bowling activities, dance-offs, and silent auctions.
Since its establishment in 1990, Bowling for Rhinos has raised over $4 million for rhino conservation. In 2013, they have managed to collect total of $24, 165. This year, the event seeks to raise more than $25,000 from the contributions of the participants and guests.
