darajaOn February 11, the Grauer School in Encinitas will be hosting a screening of Girl Rising, a film from Academy-award nominated director Richard E. Robbins that tells the powerful and uplifting stories of nine girls in the developing world. This will be a night in support of girls around the world that will include a world marketplace and East African cuisine from 4 to 6 pm. The film itself will screen from 6 to 8 pm.

This event is open to people of all ages, but the film may be inappropriate for children under the age of 12. Tickets for the Girl Rising screening are $5 each and will be available on site. All proceeds for this event will be donated to the Daraja Academy.
