The Classics Philharmonic Orchestra is presenting a Classics 4 Kids Family Concert entitled “Carnival of the Animals” on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 2:00 in the afternoon at the Balboa Theater located at 868 Fourth Avenue, E. Street Gaslamp, San Diego, California.
Giving a fresh take to Saint-Saen’s Carnival of the Animals, San Diego Zoo Global’s “Dr. Zoolittle” will be narrating the story’s original poetry but with a modern day twist. The performance will be conducted by Dana Mambourg Zimbric and will feature the special participation of Malashock Dance.
After the performance, the audience is invited to stay for the Kid’s Chat where children are given the chance to meet the musicians from the Orchestra.
General admission to the concert is at $15 each. Red Ribbon tickets are available at $20 which includes Premium seating and a special post-performance treat. Discount prices are available for child viewers.
