Traditions are what make the holidays so special and attending the Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade that precedes the Holiday Bowl is at the top of the list. This year the event is held on a Wednesday, December 30, 2015, and celebrates the best of humanity and features over 5,000 participants.
It draws crowds traditionally numbering in the 60 thousands. The event begins at 8:00 am and is expected to last until 11:30 am. The parade features marching bands, amazing massive balloons and floats. There will also be a 5K run, everyone’s favorite wiener dog race. There will also be the family festival as well all taking place on Harbor Drive from Cedar Street to Pacific Highway.
