42nd Annual World Bodysurfing Championships in Oceanside
Watch and enjoy the 42nd Annual World Bodysurfing Championships to be held adjacent to the Oceanside Pier on Aug 18-19 2018. This is the perfect event to witness the 350-400 bodysurfers from around the world!
BeachSport.org announces the 42nd Annual World Bodysurfing Championships to be held next to the Oceanside Pier. The Men and Women’s Grand Champions will be announced Sunday afternoon on the final day. The contest is scheduled to start at 6:30 AM each morning with age competition taking place as noted below. WBC reserves the right to change the projected schedule based upon the actual number of applications received.

Insect and Ladybug Festival
Experience this one of a kind festival! If you find insects creepy, this event will surely make you appreciate them! 4th of July Celebration in Ocean Beach

We have free parking at our Main Beach Parking Lot as well as at our Pier Parking Lot. Spend the day picnicking with family and friends, swimming in the ocean, walking and playing in the sand and shopping along Newport Ave. Then bundle up as the sun sets and pull up a blanket for really spectacular fireworks show from the OB Pier.

Annual Inter-Tribal Powwow
Celebrate with us the 22nd Annual Inter-Tribal Powwow on June 9 and 10, 2018 at Mission San Luis Rey. You are sure to have fun with parades, dancing, drumming, storytelling, foods and so much more! This event is presented free for the public by San Luis Rey Mission Indian Foundation so make sure to come with your family and friends! See you there!
The Inter-Tribal Powwow is one of the largest in the region, and it is the only one presented on the grounds of a California mission. It draws participant from 15+ tribes, including the Diegueño tribe and Luiseño bands in San Diego County, as well as tribes from California, the Southwest and beyond.

The EarthFair goal is to be a zero-waste event, meaning that everything that is discarded is either recycled, reused or composted. And an event the size of EarthFair can generate tons of waste. Last year, we diverted 90% of EarthFair waste from the landfill!
